CASTROL SUPPORT MUD DOGS SUMMER MUDFEST
Castrol Lubricants has been synonymous with Motorsport worldwide for many years, through their support of Team Toyota Europe in the World Rally Championship in the early 90’s to supporting Off Road Racing in South Africa in the new millennium; and this relationship continues to grow with their sponsorship of the Summer Mudfest to be held by the Barbados Rally Club on August 24th at “the Dog Pound” at Searles, Christ Church.
Entries for the event opened at McEnearney Quality Inc in Wildey last Friday and remain open until 4pm on Tuesday August 19th, after which there will be a final chance for late entry at the Briefing Meeting to be held at the BCTSA Clubhouse, Christ Church, at 7.00pm that same day. All late entries will attract an additional fee of $20. Persons considering entering, but unsure as to whether their rig will be ready in time for the event, are still encouraged to enter prior to the briefing meeting, as they will receive a full refund, should they notify Mud Dog Committee Chairman, Leslie Alleyne by Friday August 22nd of their failure to be ready in time.
To ensure the event start on time, organisers have changed the vehicle scrutineering date to Saturday August 23rd at 1pm, at Searles, instead of holding it the morning of the event. This will also give competitors an opportunity to see the redesigned challenges in which they will be tested the following day, as well as give spectators a chance to see the 4x4s up close, and quiz the drivers on some of the modifications that have been made to their respective rigs.
