TEAM JAMAICA ARRIVES IN CHILE

TEAM JAMAICA ARRIVES IN CHILE

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, - - Jamaica´s national Surfing Team headed by JSA President Billy Wilmot arrived in Iquique Chile on wednesday to take part in the 8th Pan American Surfing Games.

¨We had a bit of bad luck with our boards not making it to Santiago with us so we were forced to continue on to Iquique without them¨ said Billy. ¨We were hoping to arrive early and get acclimatized to the very cold waters of the South Pacific but with the delay of the arrival of our surfboards and wetsuits it has been very frustrating for the team who can only look on as other teams who arrived early take advantage of the pre event training on location.

Our Boards and wetsuits are scheduled to arrive this evening at 4:00 pm. Copa Airlines were responsible for the shipping and will have to send the team´s equipment on to Iquique via LAN airways but already we have gone to the airport once after being advised that the Boards had arrived only to find they had not¨.

The event will begin on sunday with the opening parade of nations with heats beginning on Tuesday the 6th. The event may be viewed online at panamericanosurf.com.
