The first leg of the B3 Series presented by Bodyboarding

Oct. 28th
The first leg of the B3 Series presented by Bodyboarding Barbados got off to a fantastic start this Sunday pass at Coles Road, St.Philip, Barbados.
After a two hour delay to allow conditions to improve the first heat entered the water at 11:55am. The competitors were treated to 2- 3 ft. waves with fantastic wedges and deep barreling pits, this equated too some gutsy barrel riding by the likes of Russel Gittens and 2nd. place finalist Kwame Griffith.
Other standout performances from the day's competition came from Paul Wilson who made a valiant effort after suffering from an ankle injury from an earlier heat to winning his repercharge heats and advancing as far to Semi Finals 1.
The main crowd pleaser came early from one Silas Adams, who in his 1st round heat demolished his competition by executing one of the biggest ARS's (Air Reverse Spin) in the day's competition. Silas is definitely one to watch for in future events.
As the day progressed and the sun started to settle it was the general consensus by spectators and competitors that the event would be remembered as one of the best. The blow horn to signal the start of the final heat saw finalist Kwame Griffith, Shane Watson, Paul Larrier and Ian Jarvis fight it out to see who would claim the right to be called the first ever winner of the Coles Road Classic.
In the end it was Paul Larrier who prevailed as the winner after executing a repertoire of manoeuvers which proved to be more than his other competitors could handle.
